- Jeremiah the prophet was rejected and so were his words that he prophesied to Judah. HIs scroll was burned which was a sign that the people had rejected the word of the Lord and were not going to change. He was put in prison as so many of the other prophets were. This is a short section but it precedes the climax of this scroll which is the fall of the city of Jerusalem.
