- Temple and Exile 8-12
- Throughout this section, Ezekiel receives visions of the great temple in Jerusalem. This temple is filled with idolaters and evil acts that should not be done. In chapter 10, we see the glory of God leaving the temple. This is a striking image to relay the severity of the people’s sins. Judgment is coming on Jerusalem and those who do not follow Yahweh. Ezekiel then gives 2 signs as to the exile of the people out of the city. Packing and digging, and eating nervously as the exile is coming soon.
