- This section focuses on the exile of the people of Jerusalem because of the attack from Babylon. The exile is inevitable and coming soon. However, God will save a remnant and restore his people once again. The promise of a new covenant that will be on the people’s hearts will come to them. It ends with a short narrative of Zedekiah’s warning and Rekabites that provides a story of how a people group have obeyed a command made by man but Israel has not obeyed their God.
