Weekly Message: Isaiah 36-39

  1. Judgment & Hope- Historical narrative 36-39
    1. The scroll of Isaiah takes a turn from poetic announcement to a more narrative retelling of accounts. A threat against Jerusalem has been issued from Assyria and a faithful king, Hezekiah prays to the Lord and he delivers them from destruction. The king of Assyria dies. Hezekiah then gets sick and prays once more and the Lord hears his prayer. He gives him 15 more years. Hezekiah then shows a prince from Babylon the palace in Jerusalem. Isaiah then prophecies that Babylon will come and destroy Jerusalem.
