Chapter 6

6:1-9 Relationship explanations between children and their parents and slaves and their masters. Verse 3 referred to the promised land the Israelites were going to inherit. The general application of a blessed life is applied here.  

6:10-20 This is the section about the armor of God. The whole point of this armor is to help us in the fight against everything mentioned in verse 12. The only weapon yielded by the Christian wearing this armor is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Prayer is vitally important to the power of this armor. 

6:21-24 Paul’s conclusion to the letter. Tychicus is the messenger of the report and encouragement to them.
