Bad Language

We have always been told as Christians never to use foul language, but what does the bible say about these bad words. Col:3:8 is a good example it says that we should get rid of our bad language. The ten commandments also say not to use God’s name in vain. The words we use reflect our personality and the kind of person we are. Romans 12:2 says do not conform to the patterns of this world… in simple terms don’t do what the world does and says and that includes bad language. 1 Thessalonians-5:11 says that we should encourage one another and build each other up..and only use words that are encouraging. And that excludes foul language. It also helps show Jesus is in our lives and helps be a light in this dark world. So don’t swear and God will be pleased.
