Good deeds

• Mat 5:16 – good deeds produce a light that points others to Jesus
• 1 Peter 2:11-17
  • We may be accused of wrongdoing
  • They “see” our deeds, the result is glorifying God on day of judgment
    • One good deed is submitting to authority, respecting earthly governments and God

Suffering

• mat 5:10-12 We are blessed when we are insulted because our reward is in heaven
• 1 Pet 3:13-18 4:19
  • We are blessed because
    • We do not fear
    • We have an answer
    • They will be ashamed
    • We commit to God

True Disciples

• 1 Peter 4:1-6
  • Live for will of God
  • They do not participate in sinful acts / lifestyles
