Lust

  • Jesus teaches that sexual immorality springs from a heart problem and we need to deal with this sin before it takes over
• 1 thess 4:3-8
  • We should control our bodies
  • There is judgment for this lifestyle
  • Rejection of command = rejection of God

Resurrection

• John 11:25- 26
  • Jesus says he is the resurrection, he is life
  • Our response should be to believe
• 1 Thess 4:13-14
  • Jesus will return
    • dead in Christ rise
    • the living will meet them
  • These are to be words of encouragement

Alert

• mat 24: 42-44
  • We must be ready and stay faithful
• 1 thess 5:2-11.
  • Stay in the light- keep living for Jesus
  • Self- control, faithful loving
  • We are to receive salvation, we shouldn’t be afraid
