Disputes among believers

• Mt 18:15- 17
  • There is a gradual process for bringing someone back to repentance.
• 1 Corinthians 6:1-8
  • They were taking each other to court instead of privately settling within the church
  • This created a bad example
  • Matthew 5:39-40 They don’t have this mindset

Marriage

• Paul quotes Mt 5:32 and agrees with Jesus’ teaching.
  • Married couples should stay married
    • If divorce- remain single or be remarried to same husband
  • Unbelieving marriages
    • should stay together
    • If unbeliever leaves, the believer is free
    • Peace is the goal but the divine ideal is priority.

Lord’s Supper

• Matthew 26:18-30
  • Jesus taught to take the bread and cup in remembrance of him.
• 1 cor 11:23-34
  • We proclaim Jesus’ death
  • Unworthy manner- doesn’t recognize Jesus meaning we forget why we’re doing it.
  • We should examine or look at our hearts and intentions
    • Judgment can follow
