• Gifts of healing (connected to faith)
  • Greek : iama – healing , medicine 
  • comes from icomai – to heal, make whole

• Used of Jesus healing – matt 8: 13, Mark 5: 29
• We have been forgiven ( healed )- 1 Pet 2:24
• Prayer can heal – James 5:16 – Lay Hands – Acts 28 8- 9

• Working of miracles
  • Greek: dynamis – Strength, Power, ability

• Used of Jesus’ miracles – matt 11:20
• Holy Spirit is Power – Acts 1:8
• The Gospel is Power- 1 Cor 1:18
• The miracles point to God – Acts 2:22

• Distinguishing of spirits
  • Greek: diakrisis – discerning, judging 

• This is to tell true from false teachings- 1 John 4: 1
• We have to know true from false prophets- 2 pet 2: 1, Jude 4
